No idea what it's like in flight but on the ground it bloody hurts.

737-200 high power on both engines and wallup!

I was in the left seat, green as you like, my colleague in the right had forgotten more about the aircraft than I would ever know.
Loud bang, EGT through the roof and my mate slammd the throttles back.

Only after I realised what had happened did I wonder why my right knee hurt so much.
The twitch caused by the surge had slammed the nose left and my knee right into the center console (may have been the trim wheel to be honest, can't remember).

Moved the aircraft into wind and all was well.

Begs the question can a simulator move that fast to cause the same injury?
