James Bond Helicopter Stunt

Would the pilot who did the stunt with the NOTAR on the latest James Bond film please step forward for the awards ceremony....

for those of you who haven't seen the film yet, a NOTAR (I'm not familiar with them, but it looked like a MD600N) 'flown' by Bond was dropped out of the back of a high-flying, burning Anotonov.... rotors stationary, engine not running....

Miraculously by the time the machine approaches the ground (and just in time, of course), Bond manages to start the engine, get the rotors turning and stops himself and his girl from a messy impact on the ground.

Fantastic stunt - if that pilot could share his or her secrets, the safety of light helicopters could be transformed. Thanks to 007, low rotor RPM problems are a thing of the past

And the film? A little disappointing, the Bond films have lost some of their charm.
