Guys, sorry to burst your bubble but BA/IAG will never give out timescales/estimates for the swimmers.

The logistics behind course allocations depends upon a whole host of factors, many of which are well beyond the control of recruiting.

There needs to be space on the trainees fleet which means the pilot vacating the space needs a fleet to go to and a training course. There is the variability of the delivery dates for new aircraft, the potential braking action of the economy, the costs to the company of training need to be approved at board level and the numbers of new recruits for each financial year approved.

Add to that a whole gambit of variables my age addled brain can't think of and you can get a small grasp of why they can't give dates as they might not be able to honour them.

So, whilst it is frustrating in the extreme, especially with the recent recruitment announcements, I'm certain that Lindsay will be trying to give the best, most up to date information he has to all involved.

Keep treading water!
