I'm not aware how much exposure you had to airlines outside the Gulf, but it must be satisfying being content to be in an airline where you feel you belong.

The public musings of the chairman and the stories I hear while flying the line do little to instil confidence in working for Qatar Airways.
One of my senior F/Os told me of his girlfriend, who flies as a flight attendant for Qatar and who are threatened with dismissal if they don't clock into their accommodation 12 hrs (I believe that's what he said) before their flight.
There are not many countries where an employer could pull this sort of stunt.
But then again - I'm happy too to be where I am (and it ain't Qatar).
In my experience there are only two types of airlines:
Those that are really fun to work for and that usually won't last, and
those where you sometimes wonder what the hell management is thinking, but that continue to pay the rent...
Call me a cynic, if you want....
