That comment was written at a time when had I got in, I'd have gone onto their shorthaul fleet. Times have changed now, and as I kind of implied just then, I'd be tempted to go to them on their longhaul fleet (this wasn't an option when I was initially rejected) - timing for me right now I wouldn't want shorthaul BA. The logic would be if offered longhaul in the future, I'd be able to commute from USA.
