Identification and Prosecution of Social Network Site Users
Gentlemen,

There may be some truth in these rumours. There's a well-publicised case in the UK at the moment involving South Shields Council and a blogger known as Mr Monkey. The Council have taken legal action in California courts to identify Mr Monkey in order to prosecute him/her for Defamation of an assortment of Councillors and Council officials.

If you Google "South Shields Council Blogger Prosecution" or something similar, you'll find lots of articles on the subject. The link to the relevant article in the UK Sunday Telegraph is www.telegraph.co.uk/.../Twitter-reveals-secrets-Details-of-British-users- handed-over-in-landmark-case-that-could-help-Ryan-Giggs.html

I guess if other networking sites are vulnerable to this type of law suit, then prune may also be. Any legal opinions out there?
