I've heard some rumours that anyone currently going through the selection process/in the hold pool that has a 737/767 rating (i.e. applied during last years recruitment drive) will be headed to the Jumbo. This is due to the fact that both 737/767 fleets no-longer require more pilots and there is a struggle to get sufficient 747 rated applicants. I'm sure minimum hour restrictions would apply.
I must reiterate that this is only a rumour at the moment!
