No, that is a totally irrelevant argument- 'I had an ambition and government policy is stopping me achieve it', sadly I am sure there are may bright young things out in the workplace who have/are about to lose their jobs as a result of the financial crisis. As much as I respect aircrew this particular group have made no return of service, are not qualified to Wings, and still have a way to go before they are useful, ie CR.
