Just as a matter of interest, the first aircraft arrived in Australia at 10pm on the 30th June, 1978 after a ferry flight from San Paulo (Brasil) to Chile, Easter Island, Hao, Tahiti, Western Samoa, Fiji and Brisbane.
It was subsequently registered VH-MWU and was then operated by Masling Commuter on the Sydney/Williamtown/Cootamundra/Young/Nowra routes together with others on the Masling network. There were 3 more (P2) aircraft to join the Masling fleet which were VH-MWV, VH-MWW, VH-MWX.
The introduction of this aircraft was a great success as indicated on this thread.
