Built by Reg Mason who was Chief Engineer of Douglas airways at the time. It was subject to dispute between Reg and Bikkies over the ownership of the engine and Bikkies wouldn't allow it to be taken out of the hangar. It was cut up & taken to the tip around the demise of Douglas. Reg did a beautiful job on it and I believe it only flew once. His son's name was Jeff.
