BTW, a knot is a measurement of speed, i.e. 1 knot = 1 nautical mile per hour.

The SNA "Emeraude" saga was probably due to some local politics. With regard to the determination of the Phase 3 Search Area, I don't believe there has been pressure on anyone, rather the Drift Group worked to establish what they believed, and with the information they had at their disposal, was the most probable area in which debris would be found on the bottom.
