Torres....The Gillies bar as I know it, is upstairs above the ground level bar on the corner,got to admit I have never been in that bar,for the life of me I can't think why we never went down there......Friday nights was club night at the Gillies and when the key draw got to around K1000 out came the Kiwi's...I could never understand why my fellow country people would only come when the key draw was worth a few bucks, maybe because the exchange rate was quite good back then...I know I doubled my pay packet when I first went up there.
