FAAA is not opposed to crew working A380 and other aircraft subject to CASA. FAAA was always of the view that it should have been just another aircraft in the LH division but the company were not prepared to negotiate an EBA with LH crew on that basis.
They could have used workchoices (much of it still in place) to set up a new company just to operate the A380 or used MAM or SH crew and totally bypassed the LH division,
The EBA was a compromise. As the WFC continue to unfold all options will be revisited and explored prior to any CR whatsoever, including the operation of overseas bases
