I think you'll find BOH has rather more than '6000ft of tarmac'. Runway length is 2271m/7451ft.
The landing distance available for 08 is 6030'. On a 737-800 there is not much margin for getting it wrong. Right place, right speed, firm touchdown.
Don't think I'd chance it on one of these trips.
