The Tripler would certainly be an option on the europe flights in future. However with LHR being more or less slot limited, CX would struggle to put on extra flights to make up for the 90 odd less chairs on the smaller jet. This of course assumes they can sell enough seats to fill the 400's, which in the current environment is by no means a given!
No doubt they're covering all the bases.
