2: BAA did well though as the shops continued and no doubt profited from those "enjoying an extended stay at the airport's facilities" (sic).
BUT surely a "major international hub" has a responsibility to be open even with snow. Or be downgraded to an aerodrome and let other airports take over.
You want to be a "big boy": take the risks as well as the rewards.
