I believe MME would definitely need to attract again one of the big holiday operators, such as Thomson/Thomas Cook, with at least one aircraft based on selected days during the whole summer season flying to popoular sun spots like Palma, Mahon, Ibiza, Reus, Faro, Tenerife South, Arrecife, Corfu or Zakinthos, Bourgas, Dalaman, Larnaca or Paphos and not competing with RYR services to the Spanish costas.
People are now increasingly looking again into value and ATOL-protected holidays rather than into many low-cost short-breaks throughout the year, so I think that it would work pretty well, considering that the holiday programme that MME can offer for the coming summer season it's fairly disappointing : only Bourgas, Dalaman, Bodrum, Reus and Palma are on sale, plus RYR flights to Alicante and Girona.
It appears MAH has been axed by Thomson for S09.
