So what we seem to be facing is the fact that aircraft, for at least 55 years, have had uncommanded engine rollback, and nobody is any the wiser. Now thats progress....
Surely everything that ever happens to something mechanical, be it instigated by a person or a computer MUST be correctly and fully monitored, otherwise there seems to be a total lack of inherent concern for safety with regard to that monitoring.
