AnthonyGA, as a sceptical luddite whose knowledge of computers is limited to coming on here and giving my opinion, it is interesting to hear that someone who does understand a lot more, has the same misgivings as myself, but backed up by a knowledge of what is involved.
As I have said many times, if I see the tricks Windows Vista can pull ( and I am sure Microsoft have more money/resources invested than Boeing & Airbus combined) it doesn't fill me full of joy to imagine what lies within the systems of these aircraft for the future amusement of the crews.
Since I first expressed this view we have had BA, the Qantas 330 upset & the XL accident in PGF and now this. I may be an old fart, but my misgivings are not without grounds.
