In the good old days when common sense prevailed every train was met by an electric bus driven by one of two old guys, train about every twenty minutes.
Then the airport removed the bus and asked the local bus company to add the station on its route which it did. I think good old "Maggie" and her rail privatisation finished things off as the train operators wanted to cut the journey time so most of the stations on route got the chop. I wonder how much it would cost to bring back the electric bus pay an old guy minimum wage and re-open the station, or would they lose carpark revenue.
