There was once a restaiurant in Fleet Hampshire call "Dakotas" the reastaurant had its own lake and the view from inside the diner overlooked this lake, The owner bought an old DC-3 and embedded it in the middle of the lake (pic here
Panoramio - Photo of Dakota's Restaurant, Cove Rd, Fleet. ) all the parts not visable in the photo, ie engines cockpit etc were removed from the aircraft before it was submerged and these adorned the inside of the diner. The one downfall not considered ny the owner was the amount of phone calls the authorities would get by passing motorists who didn't know the area who reported the crash of a plane
the place is now called "The Heron" and all aircraft pieces and parts have been removed from the area, not sure what the reg was or what ultimatly happened to the fuselage
