I think you will find the "Scottish Peak" is only occuring in Edinburgh and Aberdeen. Everywhere else, including South Ayrshire is falling just like the rest of the UK. Always bear in mind that the media tend to generalise when it comes to stactistics about Scotland i.e. they view the country as a whole instead of dividing it up into regions like they do with England.
