Try not to let it get to you. I raised an eyebrow at the JM comment about recruitment being "an art not a science" too, but it must be hard work sitting in from of a dozen suited clones, most of whom are savvy enough to recognise that the best thing they can do in an "informal chat" is to keep their mouth shut and look anonymous.
I'm reminded of a very un-PC saying from a friend's uncle which I will paraphrase to avoid offence! "Life is like a <black man's> left buttock. It ain't right and it ain't fair!".
The truth is that BA have always gone through highs and lows of recruitment and it seems to me that for every plus point to joining there are a number of minus points (high on the list Bid Line and Heathrow). So as long as you have a job then that's really all that matters.
