A watch on the wrist is great for getting you to the field or pub on time as long as it works reliably.
If you want the watch for flight timing then it is no use on your wrist which is down by the collective (or cyclic, depending on which wrist you wear it). If time in flight is important then make sure you have a clock / stop watch on the panel in front of you and of sufficient size so you can read it.
Oh...... and me - I wear an old divers watch so i can take a shower without removing it. That way i don't forget to put it on later and then wind up being late for work
