Applicants for officer - all branches - 12,000 per year of whom 7,000 apply for pilot.
3,000 actually get to OASC of whom 1,200 are wanabees.
Of the pilot applicants there are 80 slots.
So work out the appropriate ratio. Even the best works out at 1:15.
