Is it just me or has the basic level of English rapidly deteriorated over the last year or so in Emirates? Not only those that have joined recently, but those that are currently applying. Nowdays, it's not just the Cabin Crew that are having problems understanding basic English.
No offence moon-towers, but I hope your spoken English at interview and in the simulator was of a much higher standard than your post. If it wasn't, that could well be a reason for rejection. The next 24 months could be time well spent brushing up the 'lingo' .
Poor language skills are becoming an issue at work, not only with the lack of general chit chat on the flight deck, but major safety implications due to misunderstandings and below standard R/T. Harsh but true.
