Unless you are captain material you can only join the company by starting as a handler. All handlers are pilots on a waiting list to become F/O's and you have to pay about 10.000 £ for the typerating too.

i don't know exactlly how this is working with in the companies, but in Sunair they don't comment anything about being a baggage handler before working as a pilot..As you can read in my previous post those where the requierements.. have the licenses and 500 hours or more..
i saw you have both JAA/FAA licence and i'm just about to get started with everything, so you may know better than me.. The info i got was from their website and i just translated what it was writen in to english.
