I tried this about 10 years ago, at that time via an advert in aviation mag. At that time, it may have changed, the owner wanted a check ride (PA28) and that was it. However, having arranged it from UK, when I turned up at Rhodes, no a/c and no check pilot.

The aircraft had gone u/s, but no one bothered to let me know before I left the UK. Lesson learned..you phone them!!

I'm sure it's all a lot smoother and easier now with t'internet.
