Not sure abt the agency thingy but other thread was talking abt expat pilots paying for their own conversion course in AA. I guess thats AA way of keeping 'low cost'.
SQ, for example, do hire experience pilots without jet experience (type rated in ATR, Fokker 50, etc), but they go straight to learjet course with cadet pay for a while.
Being Malaysian myself, I'm not suprise to hear 'someone' make pocket money out of that deal.
