You've clearly not been to Gatwick South in a while, then.

VS to Miami and Orlando, loads of charter flights to the Caribbean, Goa, Maldives, etc. - more Burberry, Prada and D&G than you can shake a stick at. (And then there are the punters... )

After the shocking events in Bali in recent years, my wedge would be on directs to the Maldives and Fiji and New Cally getting popular again. Especially for the Maldives, something bigger than a 738 will be required. Given the right equipment, it won't take much to extend that up to Europe; all that really would be needed is someone (eg. Switzerland?) willing to give out a fifth-freedom. Then it'll only be a few bogans/chavs going the whole way, with most just doing the sort of 8-9-10 hr tightly-packed-in stretch most Europeans are already very familiar with.
