Politically I can't see them closing the only airport in Cornwall with scheduled links, and presumably Air Southwest and Monarch (and bmibaby - is the BHX route still running) can't either. With Ryanair it's hard to say! Given the size of the whole airfield I would have thought that there is a large profit to be made by keeping the runway and the terminal side of it, and selling the military side for development.
