From the web site Maersk sure looks like a well run conglomerate similar in many ways to how UPS does business. I see Maersk containers on trucks and trains here in the US all the time and their shipping terminal in EWR is huge. I wouldn't mind owning a few shares of their stock as well since the stock price is awesome.
But as far as I can tell Maersk (Star) is a UPS contractor like so many others. In that light I don't quite understand your last post, so would you mind enlightening us when you get a chance? As far as I know the main European UPS contractors are Star, Channel Express, Bluebird and MNG and the primary reason that they are contractors is to cover routes that UPS Airlines does not yet have the authority to fly. Star currently operates 4 757s which I assume will be returned to UPS Airlines as soon as your 767s are delivered. Am I missing something?
