Congratulations on the good news for you! The B-767 is sure a lot better than the A-300 option. Will you now get back some of your lost flying?
From my side (current IPA pilot) there is no animosity in regards to how STAR contributes to the UPS operation. You "feed" us and we "feed" you on routes that we do not have authorization to fly. There are still lots of expansion opportunities in Europe and the Middle East so I think there is plenty of opportunities for both of us in the future regardless of how Open Skies progresses. I think it actually would be smart for our unions to develop a relationship to ensure that we both have good contracts when it comes to areas such as scheduling and compensation. It is UPS that does not want us to mingle and compare notes, and thus separate crew rooms in CGN.
