Just my two cents. Since you have the money, borrow one of each. I used Gentex for years and they seem to work OK. Price was free as they were Military and issued. I still have a couple. I sent one to
www.flightsuits.com and they redid the electronics to be compatable with Civilian stuff. Never had problems while working in one , but I think I would have gotten it adjusted had that been the case.
Never used the Alpha but have seen it. It looks pretty good and would seem to be more comfortable.
Just about any rotor that hits your Brain Bucket while turning is going to mean at the very least an early retirement........if your lucky
