So HR finally got back to me. Atlas has given out 164 E3s. Not all have started and some already left. Just a fraction less than 500 it seems. Argue all you want but that's the number from HR.
Envy your enthusiasm and persistence to win an internet argument, to go to the effort of emailing HR. As the above have suggested, they've either got the figures wrong or grossly misunderstood the question. Happy to have a healthy wager that figure is short by a least a few hundred.
