You’ll struggle to get someone from NATS to answer directly your question on the basis of an application for a role, on an anonymous rumour/public forum, for business, security and employment reasons. NATS shares this level of detail with customers and key stakeholders but via its customer website that is also inaccessible to the general public too.
A higher level of detail is available if you know where to look, and of course what you’re looking at. Have a look at appendix B of
https://www.caa.co.uk/media/rstjxs4i...ublication.pdf as it contains a high level description of what NERL ‘asked’ for funding to deliver and if you follow the process see if there’s an update on the investment content in the many other documents.
If you’re experienced and have an idea of the role, you should be able to get a flavour of the big changes planned and where NATS may expect to deliver it, but the detail isn’t there. Don’t be too focussed on big changes either. Sustainment in our industry is a big deal and can be just as complex as ‘big changes’.
If/when you are invited for interview, ask for a site visit and/or a chat with an engineering manager and have your research questions ready to go.
