Regarding calculators and forecasts - my actual pension payment in the end was better than both! On chatting to others that seems the norm too (which makes sense, as you get ‘happy campers’ at the end when they get more than they expected!).
As for Secondment, then it definitely is treated as a career break - there was an IBN published about that recently.
