Frankly Bonza have got bigger issues than whether Joe Public thinks that the MAX is on the nose. They've got an expensive piece of kit sitting idle in a fairly corrosive environment with no sign that'll be earning any money for them any time soon. How long can it sit there before they need to put some sort of preservation program in place?
These are also ntu aircraft and have been sitting idle for the last 3 years, adding to the risk profile.
I have seen some nasty corrosion photos of a certain striped tail A320 that sat in the Alice for the last 2 years, let alone one parked up near the coast. God help that poor old Virgin A330 stuck out west.
