Regarding the night ban, as we are in unprecedented times I am sure bans would be relaxed at many airports. As for being boring, go back to the early 1970s - Britannia, Court Line, Monarch with British Midland on scheduled services to the Channel Islands with a sprinkling of Air Spain, Abiogenex etc al!
