You realize the JQ Pilot EBA is a public document right?

35.1.5. Narrowbody 1 July 2018 Captain - $200,813.

Your assertions of 225k before allowances etc are wrong. Do you acknowledge this fact?

That may be true, but it demonstrates your lack of understanding of the metric. Normalizing pay for block hour allows an apples for apples comparison. If a JQ Capt is on 200k for 75 hours, but a Virgin Capt is on 190k for 40 hours, only an idiot would claim the JQ pilot is more highly paid. To that end, in normal times (ie, not an unprecedented global pandemic), the chances of a JQ pilot doing 56 hours in a month are near nil. You're always at 75 hours, and more often than not, significantly over. So given equal block hours, the hourly rate is what matters, not the base salary.
