The bigger question is what will the airport operator do with their £45m gift from the Luton taxpayer plus the extension to their franchise agreement? It is reported that the two owners of LLAOL have a net value of £120 billion, so they are not short of a bob or two, while the airport owner gets bailed out by government.
This is something I would expect from a Conservative government and not a Labour Council. So what was the justification for this gift? No one will ever know, as the meetings were held in secret with no minutes published. We live in strange times!
