REUNITING ARTEFACT WITH FAMILY

Chaps/Chapesses

A friend of mine previously worked at the (now closed unfortunately) RAFBF Princess Marina Respite Home at Littlehampton. As the Home was being ‘cleared’ he rescued from being ‘skipped’ a hand-made Trinket Box (for want of a better description) illustrated herein, that contained the provenance document also attached.

His intention is to reunite the box with the family of its manufacturer and has asked me for assistance in achieving that worthy goal. Although I can think of half a dozen ways to set the ball rolling, I was wondering if any of the esteemed readership of PPRUNE might have had similar experience (Tankertrashnav?) and know of an effective way of shortcutting what could be a laborious and time-consuming process by suggesting an organisation or MoD/RAF department/section to approach initially.

Any suggestions welcomed.
