I didn’t spot the hangars at the bottom of the picture!
I’ve flown gliders and tow planes out of there many times.
Claresholm CEJ4. Built as a primary (note the parallel runways) BCATP airfield during WWII and used again in the 50s to train NATO pilots.
Now down to one maintained runway, although some of the others are still usable, with care.
PS The short white roads are for access to natural gas wells.
