We get A400s on a regular basis here in South Somerset. They seem to be heading to/from Yeovilton and the cynic in me has been wondering why they seem to go to Yeovilton about 1100hrs and return about 1400hrs. Lunch anyone?! The sound is absolutely unique but back in the 50s/60s living in west London the Viscounts and Vanguards were pretty unique as well.
The other thing we get occasionally are C-130s but they are usually on low level training and disappear behind hills rather quickly!
