Ah. YouTube have that covered... if you use a soundtrack in your video that isn’t royalty free, such as pretty much ANY song, YouTube automatically picks it up, notifies you and then ALL earnings are given to the music artist instead of you... in this case U2, even if it is a cover!

This is why you often hear the same “royalty free” soundtracks across many of the videos you see, especially kids ones. When using royalty free music, you generally have to quote the artist in the video description.

I once posted a video from a cruise ship and YouTube picked up a song that I could barely even here when I made the video as I was walking through a bar. They emailed and advised that the copyright of the song means all monetisation goes to artist X.
