Not true. Wasn't that long ago that you got the allowance to rent. So that's legit. Lack of trust and communication creates rumours.
Not quite Don. The Company went from Housing Allowance for rent or own, then to only those who purchased property. There was a time a few years back that the same property in International City (or other similar happy location, thereof) got purchased then sold off to other pilots of the same new joiner course, just to avail of the allowance (by presenting a Title Deed) without the burden of needing to hold on to said purchased property.
