During my time on the GC (many moons ago) I hardly ever saw any regular member coming to the office with ideas.
Members getting called out during contract compliance often demonstrated an arrogant and belligerent attitude, even though 96% voted for cc and tb at the time.
The expression: “Every membership gets the union it deserves” comes to mind.
Now we shall reap what we have sown.
