I stand by comments others have made - it is very sad to see EZY close STN-based operations after many years, and my thoughts go out to the EZY team here who are now facing uncertain futures. Signs of EZYs withdrawal at STN had been visible for several years, with route closures and the number of based a/c falling in favour of LGW, LTN and to some extent, SEN, despite their agreement with MAG in 2013 that they would expand services from here. In the light of this, I wonder who would be willing to step in and reinstate some of the now former EZY network from STN? As others have highlighted, AMS has always been a pivotal and successful European route for STN, yet has now been cut to seasonal only. Given this, would KLM be willing to step in and give STN another try?
