No. The only motivation I could see is padding below for more senior guys not wanting to take LWOP if it got to CR.
Either way. Worrying about stuff that’s totally out of our control is pointless. If the gator comes from below so be it. There will be another chapter and another adventure.
If we lose possessions. It’s just material stuff. There will always be shelter food and a warm bed somewhere. The family will adapt and we will all do our best at whatever we can to provide.
