My hope, kind of, is that with Norwegian retreating, IAG might take on the void left by Norwegian with Vueling and LEVEL.
Unfortunately it is confirmed that there will be redundancy in the company in the near future.
Bases and number of employees affected are still undisclosed.
The are rumors about up to 40-45% of the pilots to be made redundant, but at this stage those are just that, rumors.
The company doesn't expect things to go back to 2019 before 2023, at the earliest.
